Rocky Riley
Rocky Riley is an indigenous singer, songwriter from Kuranda. Rocky learnt music from his family and has played in this community since he was a child. Rocky has been inspired by artists such as Irwin Riley, Coloured Stone, Tribal Link and Joe Geia. He has supported acts from around the country such as Archie Roach, Titters, Regurgitator and has performed at the Woodford Folk Festival, Laura Festival and also in Brisbane and as far away as Japan. Rocky has also won writing awards for his songwriting. He is inspired by the bush and by the river that flows into one sea. He enjoys the sunshine and being positive whilst appreciating the natural gifts he has. Rocky believes his family is stronger than ever and is always beside him in his music. His songs are predominetely about Black mans feelings and inspires hope for future generations to come.
