The Koonibba Women's Group re-opened in 1997 in their new building. The Co-ordinator, Desley Gray, started in August 1997.
There are 7 CDEP ladies working in the Centre, and community ladies drop in every day for a cup a tea, or join in the activities such as painting, silkscreening, sewing, mobile making and jewellery making.
The ladies sell their paintings to the School.
Last year we sold jewellery and clothing to the Community, like tracksuits, shorts and T-shirts. Now we are also starting to do pottery.
We have just starting making mobiles.
